Finished my fairisle hat earlier today. I’m quite happy with it and I can see myself making a few more, very quick but they look very impressive.

Right. WIP update.
My Paper Dolls jumper is on hold now, the 2.5mm needles I have are WAY too long and I can’t get the stitches to move round, I have a pair of cheapo needles coming from eBay so I have to wait for those.
My Ellington socks I REALLY want to finish but at the moment I can’t face all those fiddly little cables…also I think I want to extend the toe on the other by a few more...

I can’t live in this house with someone nearly 3 times my age. Everything is a battle that he has to win and it’s so patronising, especially in the way he talks to me. Urgh.

Props to myself, the second Wollmeise update I have just resisted buying many things. I settled for a bag (2 skeins) in 100% the Mixed colourway. Should be interesting to see what they come out to be.

I think I am officially addicted to spinning! Whilst my orange and white one has been drying (STILL not quite done!) I got spinning some gorgeous vanilla/fawn/brown/navy fibre.

Right so here is an official post..
..on my first yarn. I’ve been having a few issues with Tumblr getting my Flickr pictures over here, the picture icon where you add the image url doesn’t seem to work unless I use the html code. Hope it’s just a bug that gets fixed!
So here is my yarn having it’s bath, the reds and oranges went a beautiful rich colour whilst the natural went a little, well, less white!

That’s the second lot of 50g spun up. That’s heading onto the other toilet roll for now whilst I spin up some white roving to go with it.
The roving is a little more coarse then the merino so I hope it works ok!

Tonight I am spinning some beautiful blended merino from Knitting 4 Fun in the Carnation colourway. I bought 2 x 50g bags and I’m really liking how it is coming out.
I am spinning a little thicker than the reds that I did (which I happened to wind into a cake today!) so that it will be a better single. It’s a beautiful Autumnal colour and I’m very excited!

I am in desperate need Tumblrites!
I need a jumper. Here are the criteria:
Worsted or aran weight yarn, (dk if I have to, preferably not though).
Long sleeves or an easy pattern to modify.
Either cabling or a colourwork yoke, not too elaborate on either one.
Fitted.
I want something to knit up quickly…wondering if just buying one would be easier but I would really like to make one…?!

Update.
My mother has arrived in town. We went and had gorgeous food in China Town and tried to walk it off a bit afterwards.
We are off to the Knitting and Stitching Show tomorrow which is hopefully going to be amazing although it will take about an hour to get there from my house (not cool!) since it is the other side of London and the train I was hoping for has engineering works on tomorrow!

My day..
..so I was meant to have my first date in quite a while today, mainly because I’ve been feeling pretty crap and not been well for the past few months. Needless to say it got cancelled because their work over ran by a long way, no one’s fault but a bit meh.
